Here are the three technical books I read in 2020.

Pygame on Pi Day

Kiki’s school celebrates Pi day by allowing its students to showcase thier STEAM projects. Although Kiki was only in kindergarten I wanted her to do a project. As I scouted around the web for ideas I ran across Hello Ruby. They have a novel approach to educating young girls on computers, technology and ultimately, coding. I looked through the site and one of thier play projects was Make a keyboard. As a former keyboard nerd, I knew instantly that the project would have to be center around the computer keyboard.

Last week I ran accross this post How Memorizing “$19.05” Can Help You Outsmart the MTA and shared it on Facebook. A good friend of mine from my college days, Steven Su, saw it and worked out the math for those who already own the card and have some remaining balance. He wrote on his facebook status:

Kiki is turning three next month. I have been reading a book called How Children Succeed. It listed these 7 essential character traits children need for them to be successful in life. I looked up thier dictionary definitions on Merriam-Webster.
